Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Guuster mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Guuster ("we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using Guuster, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We support sign-in via email (one-time code), Google, and Apple. By signing in through a third-party provider, you also agree to their respective terms of service.

Guuster is a grocery shopping assistant that helps you track spending and find better deals. The Service allows you to:

• Scan and digitize grocery receipts using your device camera
• Track product prices across stores
• View price history and comparisons
• Manage a personal product and receipt history

We use artificial intelligence to extract information from your receipts. While we strive for accuracy, AI-extracted data may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any inaccuracies in your scanned receipts.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Upload content that is fraudulent, misleading, or harmful
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without our written permission
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted by us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service, including receipt images and any corrections you make to extracted data ("User Content").

By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We will not sell your User Content to third parties.

You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by Guuster and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.

Aggregated and anonymized data derived from the Service (such as average product pricing trends) may be used by us to improve the Service and for analytical purposes.

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon account deletion:

• Your personal data will be permanently removed from our systems
• Your receipts, product history, and preferences will be deleted
• This action is irreversible

We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention), but such data will be anonymized where possible.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• AI-extracted receipt data will be completely accurate or complete
• Price information or comparisons will be up-to-date or reflect current store pricing

Guuster is a tool to assist with grocery tracking. It is not financial advice, and you should not rely solely on the Service for purchasing decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Guuster and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty euros (EUR 50), whichever is greater.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to, violation of these Terms or conduct that we determine is harmful to other users or the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as liability limitations and intellectual property rights) will remain in effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through in-app notifications.

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.
